PROJECT PARTICIPANT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Safeguarding
Internal submissions can be made by any employee of the PiEAT Academy.
All submissions will be made via RVP Video for checking.
All submissions will be subject to all terms and conditions without exception.
All children taking part should be identified by first name only.
Where a class submits a video or still images the school undertakes that all the children in the video or images have permission to appear.
If there is any doubt about the children appearing in the video or images not being cleared then the video or images will NOT be used.
Should there be a problem with a video or images we can be notified at the school email address and the content will be taken down as soon as is reasonably possible.
The finished programmes will be uploaded to hosting with a combination numerical / alphanumerical file name. The video host option for indexing will be deselected and the files will not appear on the host’s search engine. The file entries will have no description and will not allow comments.
The finished programmes will be posted on the project website using a player limiting the host branding.
Content
Contributors should understand that the video will be on the internet and, as such, its content could be visible to all users of the ‘net. They must ensure that the content of the video is suitable and reflects well on the PiEAT Academy schools.
There will be no advertising in any video except for references to sponsors coordinated through the PiEAT academy schools.
Videos and images submitted should not feature any copyright images or sounds (including music). Any video or image that infringes copyright cannot be legally used. We reserve the right to re-dub music where necessary.
Use of videos
If RVP Video, the PiEAT academy schools or the production team believe the clip does not meet our terms and conditions it will not be used. Their decision is final.
GDPR
• What information is being collected?
We video record items for the Our Lives News Programmes.
We also collect images and videos provided by the schools of the PiEAT academy.
• How is permission to appear granted?
The families of the main presenters each complete a permission form specific to this project.
Each school is responsible for obtaining permission – Our Lives TV does not hold any of this data.
All others appear under the general permission for images and video obtained annually by the schools.
The schools are responsible for holding and administering this data.
• How will the data be used?
The files are edited into programmes which are uploaded as unlisted files to YouTube for hosting. These videos are then embedded on the OLN/PiEAT website.
• What happens to the data?
The files are stored locally and deleted within 6 weeks of publication of the programme. The completed programmes remain online for at least the duration of the project.
• Who will the completed programmes be shared with?
The programmes will be shared with the PiEAT academy community.
